BWS Weekly Pumpage Charts
Every Friday, the Board of Water Supply will post the weekly pumpage charts for island, Honolulu and ʻAiea Hālawa. The Board of Water Supply began posting these charts prior to the 2022 summer season as signs of strain on Beretania wells cause the BWS to request island residents and businesses to voluntarily reduce their water use by 10 percent. The strain on the wells was due to rising levels of chloride in the BWS Beretania Wells, which resulted from additional pumping to help make up the loss of supply from Hālawa Shaft and less than normal rainfall this year (read news release).
