Kākela Drive and Mohala Way Water System Improvements
HONOLULU – MIRA Image Construction, LLC, the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Kākela Drive and Mohala Way Water System Improvements project in the Mānoa area, is scheduled to begin work on or after November 1, 2024. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.
The project will install approximately 2,165 feet of 8-inch and 4-inch water mains along the following areas:
• Mohala Way from East Mānoa Road to Beckwith Street
• Kākela Drive
• Kākela Place
• Kākela Iki Place
Working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
