Monsarrat Avenue Water System Improvements Project
HONOLULU – MEI Corporation, the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Monsarrat Avenue Water System Improvements project is scheduled to begin work on or after June 2, 2025. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability and fire protection for customers in the area.
The project will install approximately 229 feet of 24-inch water mains, 86 feet of 16-inch water mains, 415 feet of 12-inch water mains, 1,911 feet of 8-inch mains, and 128 feet of 6-inch water mains.
The work will affect the following areas:
• Monsarrat Avenue from Paki Avenue to Campbell Avenue
• Campbell Avenue from Kaunaoa Street to Monsarrat Avenue
• Kakaina Avenue from Kaunaoa Street to Monsarrat Avenue
Working hours for the project will be Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
