2025 Halloween Costume Contest
Celebrate conservation for healthy Oʻahu ahupuaʻa!
The health of our watersheds is inseparable from our health. Healthy watersheds give us so much, including climate change resilience, clean waters, food, recreation, and of course, a sustainable water supply. As we receive these gifts, itʻs our kuleana to connect with and care for the land.
Conservation enthusiasts are sharing their passion for mālama ʻāina with a special 2025 Ahupuaʻa Halloween Costume Contest. Please check back here and on Instagram to join the celebration! We hope that youʻll learn, laugh, and be inspired.

Who Can Enter?
Anyone working in an Oʻahu conservation organization helping our native species and habitats thrive!
- We are purposefully vague – participants just have to have a working knowledge of their species/habitat.
- Work can include art, education, conservation, research, restoration, invasive species removal and more.
2025 Entry Submission
Submit photo and/or video plus a few lines describing your species/habitat using ONE of the following methods:
- In person at ʻŌhiʻa Love Fest at Patagonia Honolulu on Saturday, November 1. Tune in for more ʻŌhiʻa Love Fest details. Entry prizes will be available at this event.
- Email materials to AhupuaaHalloween@gmail.com by November 4, 11:59 AM.
- Post on Instagram and tag @bwshonolulu and @oahuisc.
